An orderly solution
to my own chaos/laziness/forgetfulness.
vignette details that keep me in check:
"Days you had your shit together."
(you're an adult so focus forward, find strength inside you)
do your best
smile be happy
say you're grateful
be bold & confident
act friendly & kind
"J'EN AI FINI AVEC TOI." (I'M DONE WITH YOU)
Tasks. Responsibilities. There is so much to remember to do in one day and no better feeling than checking these items off your list. The word 'chaos' comes to mind more than the word 'order' when I think about my daily task productivity...
so I designed my own checklist to record what I should be doing everyday, or strive to do everyday.
Being a Graphic Designer is really helpful to myself and others when it comes to customizing. It's fun to design my own personal documents where I can incorporate my favorite colors, fonts and language - even my own sense of humor in the details.
Graphic Designers are problem solvers and solution seekers. My problem: I am a visual learner, and quite forgetful, so I needed to see if I was accomplishing goals set for myself and also staying in balance. My Solution: to list out tasks that I really needed to start doing daily, and print this checklist to adhere to the back of my closet door (my wardrobe was a good spot for this list because it was somewhere I would go everyday and was out of sight.)
Everyones daily goals are so different. Some of these items are no-brainers like tidying up, while some tasks are really important to get into a new habit like taking vitamins. Boxes with too many checkmarks showed me I was spending lots of time doing this, and boxes with too few checkmarks showed me that I was not incorporating this task enough. I was able to evenly distribute the check marks and found that balance really did come to me when my awareness was on paper! Also, a sense of accomplishment is something you should feel everyday. If you aren't doing enough, do more and you'll feel it!
